  • NEW! FUELED FOR FITNESS
    June 10, 2017
    Noon - 2 pm
    $31 Vista residents / $37 for non-Vista residents
    Learn how to and the importance of exercise along with preparing nutritionally balanced meals for healthy living. Educational topics and activities include strength and aerobic activity, core training, mobility/flexibility, Tai Chi, meal preparation and nutritional education. Each session will conclude with a healthy lunch. Participants bring (2) 2-5 lb dumbbells, mat, water and stretching/exercise band. Beginner to intermediate fitness levels welcome.   • NEW! TAI CHI FOR BEGINNERS
    Tuesdays and Fridays, 10 am - 11 am
    May 5 - 30, 2017
    $33 Vista residents / $39 for non-Vista residents
    This class practices basic meditative movements of Tai Chi, including warm-up exercises, standing posture, stepping, moving and twisting. It promises improving well-being, balance, flexibility and strength.

  • GOLF LESSONS FOR SENIORS

    May 10 - June 21, 2017
    $81 Vista residents / $97 for non-Vista residents
    Seven sessions total
    With over 20 years experience teaching golf at Pepperdine University, Lindero Country Club and the cities of Los Angeles and Thousand Oaks, Mr. Araiza’s golf class is for beginners to seasoned players. Learn the grip, torso rotation, weight transfer, putting, and more. Learn at your own pace! Class meets in the grass parking lot for the Moonlight Amphitheatre in Brengle Terrace Park.

    Beginner:
    Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:30am – 11:20am
    April 4 - 27, 2017
    May 2 - 25, 2017 (no class May 30)
    Begin with a seated total body warm-up. Followed by a combined seated and standing segment involving hand weights, handled resistance band and rubber playground ball. Class concludes with a cool-down and stretch/balance segment with or without chairs. Proper breathing and posture techniques are taught.

    Begin with a standing rhythmical dance warm-up. Followed by a combined standing and seated segment involving hand weights, handled resistance band and rubber playground ball.
